Letter from the Publisher, Keith Madison
The idea of publishing a baseball magazine surfaced from the recesses of my mind several years ago- not long after retiring from a 28-year coaching career- so I’m thrilled to be able to ‘step up to the plate’ with Inside Pitch!
I’m delighted to work on this project with our incredibly capable and talented contributors, whose passion for the game will be evident through unique, challenging, and sometimes even controversial topics. It’s our sole purpose for this magazine to provide baseball players, families, coaches, and administrators with cutting-edge information about the game we all love.
Our ultimate goal is to be a leading source for in-depth, focused, and expansive coverage of our national pastime with our primary focus on high school, travel and college baseball. We have some fantastic folks that are going to be working with us and it’s amazing- everyone we’ve asked to get involved with Inside Pitch has said yes! It’s the only time in my baseball career I’ve ever batted a thousand!
You’ll see some things in our magazine that you won’t see in most other baseball publications. I’m particularly excited about our Intentional Walk section, where we’ll share how some of the game’s brightest stars are using their platforms to give back.
We’ll grow in quality and depth with each issue, and look forward to your feedback ‘early and often.’ We’re eagerly anticipating hearing from our readers so we can make Inside Pitch the best it can possibly be. I’m looking forward to working with you!
Make sure to check us out at insidepitchonline.com, where it will be easy to post comments and track our daily updates.
Without further ado, let’s ‘play ball!’
